Fr. Stephen Huffstetter, SCJ (Fr. Steve) is far more than the director of St. Joseph’s Indian School. He is a caring, devoted man who holds the Lakota (Sioux) people and their Native American culture near and dear to his heart.
Because of his appreciation of the American Indian people and their culture, Fr. Steve is a beacon of hope and support for the children in need at St. Joseph’s Indian School.
This blog is dedicated to following Fr. Steve’s daily tasks, personal thoughts and his healing journey.
His cancer diagnosis was not one for which anyone could be prepared; however, cancer has quickly become an accepted part of his life.
Please join all of us at St. Joseph’s Indian School in supporting Fr. Steve through prayers and words of encouragement!
